How it all started...

It all started more then 15 years ago when I first got my hands wet and dirty setting up my first Paludarium and Terrarium. As cliche as it sounds but I never look back since...

I've always been fascinated by the green and wild of the rainforest and how much tranquility and peace it can bring. Which was what hit me, why not bring the rainforest into the home? I started creating different biotopes that depicts wetlands, swamps, creeks, lakes and rainforest... a lot of trial and error was involved and till now I'm still learning as I do my setups... just like the tropical rainforest, green and tranquil on the outside but it can be unpredictable and treacherous on the inside...

Who we are

 Desmond Lee
Founder and Operation Director of Exotica Pets Paradiso

Founder and Sales Head of Gunihun Tiam 
After many career changes from a Legal Debt Collection Officer to a Admin Assistant to a Marketing Assistant and finally to a Supervisor  in an Insurance company. He has decided along with his wife and partner, to setup Gunihun Tiam and Exotica Pets Paradiso. With his passion and green hands for creating Vivarium setups from scratch he's set to bring Gunihun Tiam and Exotica Pets Paradiso to a newer heights.

Desmond has experience in conducting lessons for Primary Schools (Qihua Primary, St Stephen School) training their Green Club and helping to set up their Green Corner.

He has recently added another role as a Facilitator cum Trainer working with Rapture Gaming for their National Education Gaming Championship (NEGC) jointly organized by NEXUS & MINDEF supported by MOE. He has trained Secondary Schools (Raffles Institution, Raffles Girls School, Hua Yi Secondary, Gan Eng Seng Secondary, Riverside Secondary, Clementi Town Secondary, Guang Yang Secondary, Henderson Secondary), ITEs (West, Central, East), Polytechnics (SP, NYP).

After more then 15 years in the insurance industry, she decided to give it all up in pursue of her dream of being her own boss as well as to show others her creative side. With quick fingers, skillful hand and discipline organizational skills, she's set to lead GunihunTiam to higher grounds and help Exotica Pets Paradiso in search of greater adventures.
